Who Are the TwinCounsel Founders?
Josh Dorward and Kenji Hashimoto met as freshmen at Cornell University. Kenji pursued engineering while Josh earned law and business degrees at Santa Clara University, becoming a licensed California attorney in 2008.
Before TwinCounsel, they co-founded Indivio, a video personalization startup that went through Y Combinator (S17) and was acquired by Cloudinary.
How Did TwinCounsel Develop Its Product?
The founders embedded themselves in a small San Jose law firm for two months, observing daily workflows firsthand to understand what solo attorneys actually need from AI tools.
Bridging Silicon Valley and Taiwan
Josh Dorward is a dual US-Taiwan citizen who believes in the potential of bridging Silicon Valley and Taiwan’s tech ecosystems. TwinCounsel is actively recruiting for an engineering team in Taiwan as the company scales its AI-powered legal assistant.
