ABA TECHSHOW 2026 Semifinalist Selection

In January 2026, TwinCounsel was selected as one of 25 legal tech startups competing for a spot in Startup Alley at ABA TECHSHOW 2026. The top 15 finalists, determined by public voting, will pitch live on opening night in Chicago in March 2026.

ABA TECHSHOW is the premier legal technology conference in North America, hosted annually by the American Bar Association.

Who Founded TwinCounsel?

TwinCounsel was co-founded by Josh Dorward and Kenji Hashimoto, who met as freshmen at Cornell University. They previously co-founded Indivio, a video personalization startup that went through Y Combinator (S17) and was acquired by Cloudinary.

Josh is a licensed California attorney (State Bar since 2008) with a JD/MBA from Santa Clara University. Kenji holds a Cornell M.Eng and previously led complex technical projects at Intel and Zazzle.

The company is based in San Jose, California.

What Results Has TwinCounsel Achieved?

During the concierge MVP, TwinCounsel proved that using inbox context engineering could reduce prep time for complex legal tasks from 90 minutes to 9 minutes.
